This Training Policy explains what students can expect from First Shot Training services and what First Shot Training expects from students. First Shot Training is a DBA of Faith First Firearms LLC. Our goal is to provide calm, responsible, and educational firearm training in a safe environment. This page is provided for general information and is not legal advice.

Eligibility Requirements

Students are responsible for meeting all applicable state and federal eligibility requirements before booking or attending training services. First Shot Training does not determine your eligibility and does not guarantee that you qualify for, will be approved for, or will receive a Texas License to Carry. Qualified applicants should review current Texas Department of Public Safety requirements before applying.

Safety Expectations

Safety is the top priority in every First Shot Training service. All students are expected to follow safe firearm handling practices and to follow instructor directions at all times. Instructors have the authority to pause or end a session if safety expectations are not met. Refusal to follow safety instructions or unsafe conduct may result in removal from a session and forfeiture of fees.

Scheduling And Attendance

Students should arrive on time and bring any required items for their session. For range sessions, weather conditions may affect scheduling, and First Shot Training will work with students to find a reasonable solution when weather requires a change. Missed appointments, no-shows, late cancellations, or failure to bring required items may result in forfeiture of fees.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling may be considered when reasonable notice is provided, but rescheduling is not guaranteed. If you need to change an appointment, please contact First Shot Training as early as possible. If First Shot Training cancels a class or session, First Shot Training may offer rescheduling, credit, or another reasonable resolution at its discretion. Refund details are available on the refund policy page.

The Online Texas LTC Class

The Online Texas LTC class, also commonly searched as the Online Texas CHL class, is provided by an outside online course provider, Texas Carry Academy. Registration, payment, course access, and course completion for the online class are handled by Texas Carry Academy under its own terms and policies. First Shot Training does not control Texas Carry Academy’s payment processing, refunds, course access, account access, or provider policies.

No Guarantees

Completion of a class, training session, or online course does not guarantee license approval, eligibility, legal outcomes, or performance results. Training is educational, and each student remains responsible for their own eligibility, lawful behavior, and continued learning.
